      This bed is beautiful. I have a 4.5 yo and 2.5 yo. I have just the bottom bed set up for now for my 4.5 year old with the top bink stored under it. I am not particularly handy and found the bed very easy to set up. The color of the wood is a rich, dark brown. I got the drawers to go under the bed which look really nice. They are on wheels and are very easy to open.I am super pleased with this bed for any price!

            got this in dark chocolate, love it, great product at a great price. I have a 6 year old on top and a 3 year old on the bottom, they both love it. The safety rail on the top bunk is perfect.

            Service and delivery comments:

            keep an eye on the tracking and be proactive, I had to call to set up a delivery date the day after the estimated delivery date. It arrived in good condition, there was 1 small scratch that could have been from putting together though. Overall a good buy!

              We were able to see the bed fully assembled at a local furniture store prior to buying and we were extremely impressed with how well the bed is reinforced when stacked, much better than the other products we looked at. We bought this product for our two young boys and just skipped the toddler bed for our youngest. We didn't stack the beds and gave our 2.5 year old the bed with the built in rails. It works perfectly. When the boys are old enough for a bunk bed we will stack the beds.
              On a side note, the Chocolate color is more of a black color and be sure to check for dents and scratches from shipping. We had a pretty big scratch in one of the side rails from the way it was packaged prior to shipping. Luckily Hayneedle was awesome and sent a replacement rail; we had it within 36 hours. Excellent customer service!
