Description

Perfect for a guest room, kids room, or office space, the Casey Daybed-Honey Maple-Free Mattress is an attractive traditional daybed in a versatile honey maple finish. The sides and back are solid slats of wood carved in a cottage-style beadboard design. Rounded wood finials finish off each square post. As practical as it is beautiful, this daybed comes with an optional roll-out trundle drawer that can be used for extra storage or for sleeping space when you put up to an 8-inch-thick mattress inside. This daybed uses a standard twin-size mattress. One free mattress is included, and a second mattress can be ordered with the trundle option. The included wooden slat support system is 15 inches from the floor. Assembly required. Ships via common carrier.

Free mattresses available are Sleep Time Mattresses. This twin sized mattress is constructed of durable polyester knit and sports a 1/4 inch quilted fire barrier on the top and border. The smooth bottom panel is also flame resistant to keep you extra safe in the event of an emergency. The mattress is filled with a double layer of High Density Dream Soft polyurethane foam for added comfort. Mattress measures 73L x 37W x 5.75 inches.

My husband and I got this as an extra bed for my office that will be used for a guest bed. We have both already taken naps on it (We bought our own mattress because of the bad reviews of mattresses here) and it was great.

It took a while to unpack the four boxes (weighing about 200 lbs total), but once we got everything out we were able to get the bed set up rather quickly - an hour in all from unpacking to finish.

The pieces are nice and sturdy and the finished product looks great! Even though we read the reviews, we were afraid of buying something from on line that we hadn't seen/felt in person. So our expectations were practical. And this bed exceeded our expectations.

The only thing that is a little weird is the trundle part. It is not actually a drawer that is attached to the bed, it is essentially a pull out drawer on wheels. So, it has to be lined up exactly right to fit back under the bed. I can live with that. We keep our linens in this drawer and it actually holds a lot.

Overall we are extremely pleased with this purchase!

The bed was easy to put together and looks good in the room. We put it in our office as a reading nook, and to use if our guest room is occupied. I would recommend it, but with qualifiers.

    I am using this daybed in my loft overlooking the rest of the house. It harmonizes well with my other cottage style furnishings. It complements the artwork & books that surround it.

    Service and delivery comments:

    The delivery was prompt & customer service good. It was confusing when I ordered it as I thought I ordered the free mattress but the mattress was not included with the initial order but after a phone call to customer service the mattress was sent out immediately.

        It's an xl twin not standard twin. And the free mattress won't fit!

        Service and delivery comments:

        Customer service is horrible. This bed is an xl twin not "standard size" as is described. The people who I spoke to had no idea about their products and were extrely rude when I called, twice. I will NEVER use this company again. I'd rather pay the extra $150 and order the same product from overstock.com. Disgusting.

        Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

            I bought this daybed after shopping on line for several weeks.[...]The color is not white/white, there seems to be some off-white or antique color - which is just fine with me. After reading the other posts, I did purchase a high end xl twin mattress for the top "bunk" and ordered the one on line for the drawer "bunk". It was VERY easy to put together...I did it by myself, with no help.It is quite beautiful in the yellow bedroom where it resides. I am very glad to have purchased it from Hayneedle.
