Kids Trundle Beds

Why a Trundle?
|
Drawer types
Modern trundle beds are either drawer types or pop-up types. Drawer types, as the name implies, are under-beds that pull out from the upper bed like a drawer. Drawer-type beds are usually made of wood, and when closed, the wooden facade gives it a distinctive furniture look.
Pop-Ups
Pop-up trundle beds are constructed of metal tubing. Although pop-up designs don't have the same aesthetic appeal as drawer pull-outs, when popped up, the trundle mattress elevates to the same height as the upper-bed mattress, and creates a combined sleeping surface almost equivalent to that of a king-size bed. This is a great option for visiting couples, or for those times when a parent needs to accompany their child to bed. Pop-up types are not recommended for small children who could injure fingers and hands in the pop-up mechanism.
