Enter the trundle bed, an expandable, affordable option for guest bedrooms or other small spaces that will keep your guests off the sofa every time they come to stay - and they can feel free to bring a friend or significant other along, too.

Trundle beds are naturally a pair; one slightly smaller bed slides underneath an upper bed (usually a twin-size), perfect for a single guest. Some trundles have a lower bed that moves on rollers or casters and can be pulled out to act as a separate bed from the upper mattress - an ideal sleeping situation for two friends. Other trundle bed styles feature a trundle that can be snapped and secured into a higher position to create a "single" larger bed for visiting couples.
